Dark Navy Wool / Viscose Crepe - European Import - Merchant & Mills

$29.00 CAD

A mid weight wool/viscose blend with a beautiful crepe texture, it drapes wonderfully due to its weight. A classic dark navy.

This cloth would be suitable for dresses, skirts and trousers with minimal detail. We would make a Trapeze dress or a pair of strides from our Workbook.

This is a deadstock fabric. Deadstock fabric is excess fabric from fashion designers, movie sets, and fabric mills that is no longer needed for the job it was originally intended for. It is not reorderable, so when it's gone, it's really gone!

  • Cold hand wash only. Always pre wash your fabric before cutting and sewing.
  • As all computer monitors show colours differently, we recommend ordering a sample of the cloth to check it is the right colour and weight for your project.
  • Thread match Gutermann Sew All 19.

      Fiber Content: 70% wool/30% viscose.

      Weight: 7.11oz, 241gsm.

      Width: 145 cm wide / 57"

Length: Sold per half meter increment / 19.5"

      Samples NOT available.

      Made in Italy

We recommend pre washing your denim before sewing. Putting a large piece of medium-heavy weight denim into the washing machine can sometimes lead to white creases in the denim, this is because it is a stiff fabric so it doesn’t have room to move around. We recommend doing the following to help this not to happen:

Wash at 30 degrees with a non bio detergent, on a low spin.

      • Wash your denim on its own for the first wash.
      • Sink your denim in water before hand, letting it fully absorb, so you are putting in the denim already wet.
      • If you can break up your denim fabric into half this will help.
      • For the first wash use a delicate 30 degree cycle with non bio detergent on a low spin.
      • If any white creases develop ironing whilst still damp will help.
      • Do not tumble dry.
      • When you have made the garment we would recommend washing it inside out.

****PLEASE NOTE: all textiles are sold per 1/2meter/yard
If you require 1 full meter = QTY 2, 2 meters = QTY 4 etc...
