Navy Herringbone Italian Cotton - Merchant & Mills

$10.75 CAD

A structured yet drapey lightweight cotton with a very fine herringbone weave in a classic navy. A smooth surface with a slight sheen this cloth would be beautiful as a Edie top emphasizing the voluminous sleeves. It would also be suitable as a lining fabric.

Ideal for shirts, dresses, and skirts.

This is a deadstock fabric. Deadstock fabric is excess fabric from fashion designers, movie sets, and fabric mills that is no longer needed for the job it was originally intended for. It is not reorderable, so when it’s gone, it’s really gone!

  • Country of origin, Italy
  • Wash at 30/40 degrees, with a non bio detergent, and on a gentle spin. Always pre wash your cloth before sewing to get rid of any shrinkage.
  • As all computer monitors show colours differently, we recommend ordering a sample of the cloth to check it is the right colour and weight for your project.
  • Thread match Gutermann Sew All 711.

This cloth is also suitable for the following patterns in our Workbook: Bantam, Heron, and Curlew top.

Fiber Content: 100% Cotton.

Weight: 3.9oz,133gsm.

Width: 150cm wide / 59"

Length: Sold per half meter increment / 19.5"

  • Wash your fabric on its own for the first wash.
  • Sink your fabric  in water before hand, letting it fully absorb, so you are putting in the cloth already wet.
  • If you can break up your fabric into half this will help.
  • For the first wash use a delicate 30 degree cycle with a low spin.
  • If any white creases develop ironing whilst still damp will help.
  • Do not tumble dry.

Samples NOT available.

****PLEASE NOTE: all textiles are sold per 1/2meter/yard
If you require 1 full meter = QTY 2, 2 meters = QTY 4 etc...
